The Kesia Nyawara Foundation (TKNF) is aimed at identifying opportunities available through community settings to expand the use of potentially life-saving information and clinical services, on aging-diseases; identifying the at risk and providing preventive services which can prevent disease or detect disease early, and when treatment is more effective. These services include screenings for chronic conditions, immunizations for diseases such as influenza and pneumonia, and counseling about personal health behaviors. The Kesia Nyawara Foundation for the Aging is a community based private organization founded in September 2014 as a result of exposure to Alzheimer’s disease in the U.S. after the diagnosis of Mama Kesia, and subsequent research, discussions, conversations, and readings on authoritative writings regarding the advent and spread of Alzheimer’s disease amongst people, it’s impact on the lives of the afflicted, loved ones and the afflicted community especially as far as Africa is concerned.
